Potent antioxidative hydroxyflavanones were produced with Aspergillus saitoi from hesperidin or naringin, which are flavanone glycosides in citrus fruit with weak antioxidative activity. The hydroxyflavanone produced from hesperidin was identified as 8-hydroxyhesperetin (8-HHE), a novel substance, and those from naringin were identified as carthamidin (6-hydroxynaringenin) and isocarthamidin (8-hydroxynaringenin) by FAB-MS, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR analyses. The antioxidative activity of these hydroxyflavanones was examined by using the free radical-scavenging system of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and the methyl linoleate oxidation system. The hydroxyflavanones (8-HHE, carthamidin, and isocarthamidin) exhibited stronger activity than the flavanone glycosides (hesperidin or naringin) and their aglycones (hesperetin or naringenin). The activity of 8-HHE and isocarthamidin was comparable to that of alpha-tocopherol, and that of carthamidin was weaker than that of isocarthamidin. The hydroxyflavanones, which were hydroxylated on A ring of flavanone by Aspergillus saitoi, were obtained as potent antioxidants.  相似文献

An HCO-3-activated and SCN--inhibited ATPase (ATP phosphohydrolase, EC 3.6.1.3) found in homogenates of intestinal mucosa of the eel was solubilized by Triton X-100. Optimal HCO-3-concentration and pH for the enzyme were 25 mM and 8.7, respectively. HCO-3-ATPase activity in both homogenate and solubilized preparations increased after seawater adaptation. This adaptive increase in enzyme activity was also observed in the gills and the kidney. The HCO-3-ATPase seems to be related to transport mechanisms, especially for Cl-, in osmoregulatory surfaces of the eel.  相似文献

It has been theoretically assumed that the population density at the equilibrium oscillates with damping from generation to generation. In the adult population of the southern cowpea weevil, Callosobruchus maculatus, it was exemplified. But, it was not so clear in the adult population of the azuki bean weevil, C. chinensis as seen in that of C. maculatus. This difference seems to be due to the scramble type of competition that occurs in larval stage in C. maculatus, instead of in the egg stage as C. chinensis. Comparing with the oscillation from generation to generation obtained in the present experiment to that of Lucilia population found byNicholson , the oscillation in Lucilia population is composed of the cycle in a generation and the descending phase of each cycle of it is not regulated density-dependently. The present result seems to be more appropriate for the demonstration of the theory of self-adjustment of population.  相似文献
